Our commitments
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products at every stage: prioritizing manufacturing and assembly in France to limit transportation, guaranteeing the availability of spare parts and documentation to promote reparability, offering a take-back and refurbishment program to extend vehicle lifespan, and continuously investing in R&D on concrete priorities (long-lasting batteries, more efficient embedded electronics, component recycling).

From design to assembly, we prioritize local suppliers to reduce transport-related emissions and ensure strict quality control. "Made in France" is not a marketing label: it is a long-term commitment.
Beyond quality, producing in France significantly reduces the transportation of finished components and associated emissions, supports the local economy, and strengthens material traceability. We document our supplier choices and manufacturing processes, and we are working to obtain and publish verifiable evidence (certifications, supplier audits, impact reports) so that our commitment remains not a marketing promise but a transparent and measurable practice.

1992
From the benches of INSA Rouen to the world of mobility
Ultima Mobility's story began in 1992, when Jérôme Mortal and Brice Epailly met at INSA Rouen. The two shared a passion for bicycles and mobility, and after their studies, they decided to join forces.
Brice focused on bicycles and founded the custom titanium bicycle brand CAMINADE, while Jérôme turned to the automotive industry, working first on the production of Formula 1 engines for Renault Sport, then on the group's sedans and single-seaters. His career then evolved into new electric mobility, developing the E-Pace for Jaguar, then electric motors for the Ami One with Valeo, and finally the automatic gearbox motor for electric bicycles, again with Valeo.
2021
The Birth of the ULTIMA Mobility Project
In November 2021, Brice
and Jérôme reconnected and embarked on an ambitious challenge: to use their
respective expertise to manufacture innovative new mobility solutions in France, using a
short-circuit model, tailored to the current and evolving needs of users. The foundations of the
ULTIMA Mobility project were laid, and all that remained was to create!
2022
The Multipath: More Than Just an E-Bike
ULTIMA Mobility's first product was launched in 2022. The basic idea was to remove all obstacles to active mobility and erase them with innovative solutions to simplify usage. All this while producing the bike in France with local partners. The Multipath bike range was born from these specifications.
2022
Commercial Launch of Multipath
In November 2022, Multipath was launched commercially. The launch was well received by retailers, who can now test Multipath in 96 stores in France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Finland.
2023
The first range of electric bikes certified "Origine France Garantie"
In the interest of transparency with our customers, and in response to the widespread problem of "French-washing" in the bicycle industry, Ultima Mobility has obtained the Origine France Garantie label for its entire range of bicycles. This is a first in the world of electric bicycles in France. This certification guarantees our customers that our bikes are indeed produced in France. This in-depth study with AFNOR allowed us to certify that 90% of the value of our bikes is produced in France (and 98% in Europe!).
